LET’S TALK TASTE
The Italian neighborhoods of Brooklyn have lots of flavor, so as a nod to our neighbors we blend the oils of Bergamot oranges which originally come from southern Italy, with smooth black tea from India, for a distinctly deep, yet mellow citrus character.
WHAT'S REALLY BEHIND THE NAME
Earl grey sounds boring. Brooklyn is in KING county and our home-base. Genius!
FLAVOR PROFILE
Dark burgundy, Mellow citrus, Full body
BREWING
Use spring or filtered water for best results. Allow boiled water to stand for a minute then steep for 3-4 minutes or to taste. Remove sachet.
*our sachets are commercially compostable
INGREDIENTS
Organic black tea, Italian bergamot oil
WHAT ARE THE SACHETS AND PACKAGING MADE OF ?
Great question. Our sachets are plant-based. We only use a NON-GMO sugarcane based compostable bag that is sealed ultrasonically [without glue] attached to a string and paper. This tea bag can be commercially composted. If you purchase the sachets in the individually wrapped format that are recyclable they come with a foil barrier to preserve freshness.
