LET'S TALK TASTE
This is a homage both to my heritage and to Bushwick Tea’s neighbors in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, who, in this lively Indian community, delight in the health promoting properties of turmeric and ginger. These invigorating flavors are so prevalent in Indian and Asian culinary traditions. This is no ordinary G&T!
WHAT'S REALLY BEHIND THE NAME?
When you're Indian like me, turmeric, ginger and spices run through your veins before you're even born. Your mum makes sure it's in everything. America has Ibuprofen, India has Turmeric [as do most Asian cuisines].
FLAVOR PROFILE
Saffron Hues, lively spices, citrus notes
INGREDIENTS
Organic ginger root, organic licorice root, organic curcuma root (turmeric), organic lemongrass, organic orange peel, lemon peel, black pepper.
HERBAL [Caffeine Free] 212 degrees boiling spring water; 5+minutes steep. Remove sachet once steeped. Some like with a smidgen of honey
*our sachets are plant-based and commercially compostable.
WHAT ARE THE SACHETS AND PACKAGING MADE OF ?
Great question. Our sachets are plant-based. We only use a NON-GMO sugarcane based compostable bag that is sealed ultrasonically [without glue] attached to a string and paper. This tea bag can be commercially composted. If you purchase the sachets in the individually wrapped format that are recyclable they come with a foil barrier to preserve freshness.
TIN CAN:
The tin can is sold empty as storage. This is an ideal option should you wish to purchase either format. You can fit anywhere from 12-15 sachets in the 8 oz empty tin can on offer, in each flavor. This helps keeps your pantry organized.
